Want to win more proposals? Overwhelmed about the complex grant or contract process? Working on a proposal and want a useable process?
Wendy Frieman’s new book, Managing Winning Proposals, distills her 30+ years of experience into actionable processes. Plus, Frieman is bona fide! She’s accredited by both the APMP and the NCMA and is the only professional elected as a Fellow by both organizations.

Each chapter in Managing Winning Proposals aligns with one of the nine basic steps Frieman lays out for proposals. She starts with analyzing and understanding the RFP. Then she address creating an RFP outline and schedule and ensuring your team meets deadlines. Next, she details writing, reviewing, and revising content. Lastly, Frieman shows you how to produce and deliver the final proposal while tracking the progress with your team.
Although many of the examples are from the U.S. proposal industry, the principles apply to most industries. As Frieman states about proposal management:
“Daily proposal management should be intentional … If you are deliberate, it will initially take more time, but it will pay you back many times over. People need structure, predictability, and consistency in order to be productive on any task, and it is the responsibility of the proposal manager to bring these to the process.”

Through the 24 Hour Company, Mike Parkinson designed and illustrated the cover and the cartoons throughout the book. Mike has worked with Wendy for two decades on government proposals. He was excited for the opportunity to support her in this project.
